What we collect
- Newsletter data. Your email address, the date you subscribed, and whether our emails were opened.
- Account data. For subscribers, name, email address and billing records held by our payment processor.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, referring site, approximate location by city, browser and device type.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email or through the contact form.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent personal data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on article pages, and we do not build advertising profiles from your reading history.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies for sign-in, saved preferences and aggregate analytics. You can clear or block them in your browser; sign-in and saved settings will stop working if you do.
Retention
Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus 12 months. Analytics data is aggregated after 14 months. Billing records are kept for the period Indian tax law requires.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal obligations.
- Withdraw consent for marketing email at any time, using the unsubscribe link in every message.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
